A recent casting call for Ciri in the Netflix TV show The Witcher, has been revealed to be “looking for a 16 or 15 year old BAME girl.” For those unaware, BAME stands for Black, Asain, and non white minority ethnic backgrounds. The Witcher is a Polish series of novels set in a Eastern European, medieval fantasy world.  I, as well as many other fans of this series belive that the best actress, not the most diverse actress, should be cast as Ciri.

Update: I would like to remind everyone of a few things;

1. Yelling won’t get us anything.  Please do not attack the people running this show with name calls and angry tweets, be respectful!

2. The leaked casting call could be fake.  The leaked casting call is not yet official, however, if turns out to be ligit, we should hopefully have this petition to show The Witcher team what we think about the decision.

3.  I cannot stress enough how important it is to be respectful, so please do not be rude to the cast actress when she is announced!
