Ask Eastern Airlines to Go Public!
Ask Eastern Airlines to Go Public!
Why this petition matters
The second version of Eastern Airlines came to an abrupt end in 2017 when Swift Air bought it. The company was wound down and the AOC or air operator’s certificate from the FAA was returned. It seemed like Eastern would never be in the sky again.
However in March 2018, the name of Eastern would be seen again on an airplane. Dynamic International Airways, a subsidary of Swift, decided to rebrand itself as Eastern Airlines. In April, the first planes were changed from the Dynamic livery to a hybrid livery with Swift colors and the familiar Eastern name.
Since we learned Eastern 3.0 was a going concern, we have not heard from the company. No press releases, no social media sites. A website at easternairlines.aero says “coming soon” but we haven’t seen any movement since March.
Swift and Eastern leadership do not have a right to have go public and share the plans for the airline. That said, they chose to use a storied name and many people want to know what’s going on with the airline. People want to be supportive and not sharing any information, makes trusting the leadership at Eastern and Swift more likely.
Please consider signing this petition asking the airline to share information on the airlines’ plans and engage with the flying public.
