　私たちは、貴殿が文学部4回・安田淳敏君＝写真＝に対して無期限の停学処分を下したことに抗議し、処分の撤回を求めます。
　京都大学は処分理由である「職員の怪我」について、一切証拠を示さないままに処分を下しました。そもそも京都大学は一度「公務執行妨害」容疑で安田君を逮捕させたものの、裁判官が勾留理由開示公判の場で「職員の側が暴行した」と認め、安田君は不起訴釈放されています。
　安田君は京大同学会の副委員長として、大学の先頭で反戦運動を闘っている学生です。学生の自由な活動を萎縮させようと狙う今回の処分を認めることはできません。

   We, the signatories, seek revocation of the suspension of Atsutoshi Yasuda, a forth grader of the faculty of letters, from Kyoto University for an indefinate period.
    You have suspended him for an alleged "injury upon an officer of the university" with no evidenve showed. Moreover, the university had police arrest him for alleged "obstructing the discharge of official duties", the investigation into which has revealed that it is the officer that harmed Yasuda.
    Yasuda has been carrying the movement against Kyoto University supporting wars. It is far from permissible that a university suspends a student as a warning to the rest.
