The main purpose of this petition is for Sebi to REDUCE the size of market lots and bring uniformity in margin requirements across all products.

Sebi is increasingly trying to restrict and regulate small investors in futures and options (FNO). However, FNO was created so that small investors could hedge their portfolios against market risk.

We want Sebi to understand and recognize that the way to ensure small investors do not lose money is to allow them to hedge their small cash portfolios by selling calls or buying puts. This means LOT sizes cannot be so large that they are out of reach of small investors and buying them serve no hedging purpose.

Ask Sebi to REDUCE market lot sizes and not increase them.
