Gender Neutral Toilets at Burnley Football Club
Gender Neutral Toilets at Burnley Football Club
Why this petition matters
This is a petition to help a forward-thinking, liberal-minded and modern club such as Burnley FC to consider improving the match day facilities by changing the existing toilet facilities to "gender-neutral".
Unisex public toilets can be designed to benefit a range of people with or without special needs, for example people with disabilities, the elderly, and anyone who needs the help of someone of another gender. They are also valuable for parents wishing to accompany one or more of their children needing a toilet facility.
There is much to be said for gender-neutral toilets. They are a welcome move for trans people, and for disabled people who have carers of a different gender. They also provide a much broader benefit for everyone: they reduce waiting times without having to incur any overhead costs. Gender-neutral toilets will not require new facilities, merely a changing of the signs.
We therefore ask Burnley Football Club to improve the match day facilities by changing the toilets to "gender-neutral".
