LGBTに該当する人は全体の7.6％(13人に1人)に該当するという調査結果があります。LGBTなど性的少数者は自己肯定感が低く、自死の傾向があるという分析もあります。埼玉県内の全ての人が、活き活きと暮らせる“彩”のある地域社会を実現するため、以下のことをお願い致します。

●各自治体において、性的少数者に関する啓発活動を行い、理解を促進してください。
●自治体が行っている様々な施策に関して、性的少数者に対する対応について検討してください。
●東京都渋谷区や世田谷区などで行われている、パートナーシップ認証制度を創設してください。
●性的少数者に対する差別禁止の条例制定など、性的少数者が抱える様々な問題に対する取り組みをしてください。
●以上のことを通して、性的少数者にフレンドリーな“彩”のある自治体を目指してください。

Honorable Mayors in Saitama Prefecture

We respectfully request you move forward your effort with regard to sexual minorities in all municipalities in Saitama and to realize a Saitama prefecture that is friendly to sexual minorities.
There is research that the proportion of LGBT population accounts for 7.6% of the total. That is 1 person out of every 13 people.
Another study indicates that suicide rates and suicidal ideation are comparatively higher among sexual minorities including LGBT individuals than among general population, due to low level of self-esteem.
In order to achieve a lively local community with “彩 Sai, colors”, as Saitama prefecture claims itself to be, in which every person can prosper with dignity, we ask you to accomplish the following:
● Create more awareness building opportunities on sexual minorities’ issues in order to promote understanding in each municipality.
● Make consideration for full inclusion of sexual minorities in services provided by each municipality.
● Establish Same-sex Partnership recognition as already established in Shibuya ward, Tokyo or Setagaya ward, Tokyo.
Make efforts to protect sexual minorities from various problems shared by many sexual minorities, such as establishing anti-discrimination ordinances.
● Through the efforts listed above, achieve a municipality with “彩 Sai, colors” which is sexual minority friendly.
