Animals in Canada need your help! Every year thousands of animals such as mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish, and birds are maimed and killed in laboratories through cosmetic testing. The definition of an animal test is an experiment in which animals are forced to test chemicals and products that will most likely harm if not kill them to determine if the product is safe for humans.

Animal testing is an inhumane, disgusting and cruel method of testing cosmetic products and drugs for human needs. Not only does it violate morals, it is also generally pointless as NIH (The National Institutes of Health) admits that 95 percent of all drugs that are shown to be safe and effective in tests on animals fail in human trials because they don’t work or are dangerous. The tests performed on animals in laboratories can often lead to intense physical pain and in most cases, the animals are put down. For these reasons, we need to stop ignoring animal testing and help create change!
