‘PERMANENTLY’….STOP NETWORK RAIL/CONTRACTORS RE-STARTING THE FELLING OF HEALTHY TREES

Network Rail are blaming healthy trees and leaves for the railway delays and multiple cancellations, thus deliberately deflecting the issue of the Railway Companies cost cutting, incompetence and mismanagement failures in keeping to their timetables...as is currently the case. Network Rail and their contractors have already destroyed tens of thousands, if not millions of healthy trees behind our backs, claiming they are dead, unhealthy and pose a risk. This is not exactly true. They have destroyed all the ‘healthy trees’ as well… A ‘TEMPORARY’ HALT TO THEIR PLANNED ’10 MILLION’ MASS TREE DESTRUCTION…IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH! IT MUST BE STOPPED ‘PERMANENTLY’ to avoid further destruction and loss of the critical survival bird, bat, butterfly, hedgehog, all insect and hibernating wildlife’s entire habitat sanctuary and homes. If Network Rail ‘carry on regardless’ and are allowed to continue by Government, despite the calls to #StoptheChop, this will advance and escalate the declines to their already diminishing population numbers nationwide. NETWORK RAIL COULD ‘FORCE’ PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES, NEAR OR OVERLOOKING THE TRACKS, TO CHOP DOWN THEIR OWN TREES IN BACK GARDENS, UP TO 60 METRES FROM THE LINES…THEY HAVE THE POWER TO DO THIS! Since the start of the petition there are another 2 ‘omitted’ reasons coming to light as to ‘WHY’ this mass healthy tree slaughter is taking place nationwide, which now needs serious scrutiny and investigation. At least one of Network Rail’s tree and vegetation management contractors, has a contract to supply wood to be burned in biomass power stations around the UK The contractor's sister company manage around 2 million tonnes of arboriculture and forest residues per annum. “They have a huge appetite for material nationally, and collect the material and process it into saleable fuel, which is supplied into the renewable energy sector. This in-house connection allows the company TO OFFER SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS BACK TO NETWORK RAIL as it can harvest, extract and sell material that would usually be chipped to waste.” In my opinion, one way or another, they are looking to destroy all our healthy UK Trees for this purpose, and are on the prowl for new sources of healthy trees and forests to exploit, mass fell and burn for profit, to sustain their profiteering Biomass Wood Burning interests in the UK. They are using what they call… The ‘DEVEGETATION FRAMEWORK’ By implying that planting new tree saplings in place of the felled trees (but not on Network Rail land), they claim this as ‘a sustainable source’, ensuring the supply can continue…So when the saplings have grown, these will then be felled and burned again! There may be others using this practice as well, which can be interpreted as deceptive. (See info links below) Secondly, Network Rail is ‘preparing’ to receive and introduce the new 5G – ‘MICROWAVE’ PHONE SIGNAL in 2020 to its cliental on the trains and along the rail system. However, Leafed Trees, Vegetation Foliage along the sides and embankments ‘BLOCK THE SIGNAL’ hence ‘IT WON’T WORK’ as good as the older 3+4G signals already in place, hence a relevant but somewhat another ‘omitted’ reason for felling all the trees along the railway lines. There seems to be a corporate profiteering tree felling conveyer belt operation here and it can only get worse ...unless we expose and stop it.. NOW.
