The Sun Newspaper has constantly caused controversy and outrage in football, certainly since the Hillsborough Disaster. 

Its journalists have a disgusting habit of scrutinising Raheem Sterling and the constant berating of him has had City fans appalled for a long time. However, Monday 29th May’s Sun headline criticising Sterling’s gun tattoo on his right leg has the entire country in outrage. It’s time the club put a stop to this.

This could be done through banning certain journalists from press conferences or match coverage, or at the very least, a statement of support for Raheem and a public condemnation of the newspaper.
