For more than 40 years, former Victoria Police detective, Denis Ryan OAM has lived in limbo, exposing Monsignor John Day as a serial pedophile in Mildura, Victoria. 

Denis Ryan lives in a one bedroom flat and ekes out a very meagre existence. His received a call from Police Commissioner Graham Ashton and Premier Daniel Andrews promised to call, and nothing has eventuated. 

In todays terms, an independent actuary has valued the payout to Denis Ryan at approx $3.2 Million. Many people were saved by the work Denis Ryan did, and while many weren't, his tenacity and dedication to exposing a violent serial pedophile ruined his career and his life. The Monsignor was protected by a then very catholic focused police force. 

Premier Andrews and Commissioner Ashton need to act immediately and provide significant compensation to Denis Ryan. He deserves more than lip service.
