I was nine-months-old when my father, Ali al-Marri, was unlawfully taken away from my family. The next time I met him, I was fourteen-years-old and had no recollection of what it meant to have the love of my father in my life. While my mother and family did their best, nothing could substitute for the loss of his presence. Reports have emerged of the men that were involved in my father’s torture. They should all be arrested and prosecuted for their crimes.

My name is AbdurRahman Ali al-Marri, and I am appealing to you to help me seek justice for my father. Seventeen years ago he was taken from our home in America. While being held, he was tortured and never charged until seven years later. My father spent a total of of thirteen years behind bars, only returning home in 2015.

During that time he suffered at the hands of his interrogators. Some of the things my father had to deal with were:

• Solitary confinement for thirteen years
• Being threatened with the torture of me and my siblings
• Being threatened with the rape of our mother
• Sleep deprivation
• Intense sound and cold torture for extended periods
• Dryboarding, having a sock inserted in his mouth and then it being taped up so that he would feel like he was suffocating and couldn’t breathe. He almost died.

The agents named are: Ali Soufan -a renowned anti-torture advocate-, Jose Ramos, Nicholas Zambeck, Jacqualine McGuire, I Kalous and Russell Lawson. My father believes this man, Soufan, in particular, was instrumental in his torture. I am asking you to sign this petition calling on the Director of Public Prosecutions in the UK to investigate this urgently, so that our family can have justice and that others that have suffered like him do not have to be silent anymore. We must speak out against torture and the inhumane treatment of others, so they can have hope that justice can indeed prevail.

We are seeking the arrest of Ali Soufan so that the United Kingdom Director of Public Prosecutions can investigate the allegations against him further. We have documents to prove his presence during my father's torture.

كنت أبلغ من العمر تسعة أشهر عندما تم اعتقال والدي على المري بصفة غير قانونية ونزعه من عائلته. المرة الثانية التي إلتقيت به كان عمري حينها أربعة عشر سنة ولم يكن في ذاكرياتي أي شيء من حنان والدي. اجتهدت والدتي لتعوضنا فقدان أبي، لكن لا شيء يمكن أن يحل مكانه. 

نشرت هذا اليوم تقارير عديدة تسمي الأشخاص المتورطين في تعذيب والدي، ,ومن ضمنهم المسمى علي صوفان، يجب اعتقالهم ومحاسبتهم على جرائمهم.

Mon père a été torturé par des agents du FBI aux USA, aidez-moi à les faire arrêter!

Je n’avais que neuf mois quand mon père, Ali al-Marri, a été séparé illégalement de notre famille. Je ne le reverrai qu’à l'âge de 14 ans, sans aucun souvenir de l’amour que mon père me portait.  

Ma mère et ma famille ont toujours fait de leur mieux. Mais rien ne pouvait compenser son absence.

Les médias viennent de faire des révélations sur les hommes impliqués dans la torture de mon père.

Ils devraient tous être arrêtés et poursuivis.

Je m’appelle Abdur Rahman Ali al-Marri, et je fais appel à vous afin d’obtenir justice pour mon père.

Il y a 17 ans, mon père fut arraché à notre famille aux Etats-Unis. Par la suite, il sera torturé et détenu pendant sept ans sans accusations ni procès. Au total, il passera 13 longues années derrière les barreaux. Nous ne nous sommes retrouvés qu’en 2015.

Il a souffert entre les mains des interrogateurs. Une idée de ce qu’il a du enduré:

• Isolement total pendant 13 ans
• Menaces de torture envers moi et mes frères et soeurs
• Menaces de viols envers notre mère
• Privations de sommeil
• Bruits assourdissants et conditions glaciales 
• “Dryboarding”: une chaussette dans la bouche et du ruban adhésif pour l'empêcher de respirer. Il en mourut presque étouffé!  

Les agent du FBI sont:
Ali Soufan, un partisan contre la torture, Jose Ramos, Nicholas Zambeck, Jacqualine McGuire, I Kalous and Russell Lawson.

Mon père allègue que Soufan, en particulier, a joué un rôle clé dans sa torture.

Je vous demande de signer cette pétition demandant au procureur d'enquêter urgemment, afin que justice soit faite pour notre famille et que d’autres qui ont également souffert, ne le fasse plus en silence.

Il est de notre devoir de nous opposer à la torture et aux traitements inhumains pour que l’espoir de justice triomphe.
