This little Sultan Rooster is endangered and is a pet. The owners have been ordered to "get rid" of him within 7 days and face fines of over $3000, despite the fact there is no ordinance banning roosters in the small rural town of Cornelius, Oregon, only one single person who has relentlessly complained of noise despite the fact the owner has housed him indoors since February from evening until late morning...the complaining neighbor continued to call in complaints even during a time when the pair were re-homed to another town. This little rooster recently lost his mate to a hawk attack during that re-homing and was injured as a result. The owner wants to eventually pair him with a mate of his own kind but wants to give him the time he needs to heal as well as the time and respect he deserves to grieve.
