As a rising star in Canada's music scene, we are calling on Nikki to cancel her performances at the May 27th fundraising gala for the JNF in Winnipeg, and at the June 18th fundraising gala in Calgary. JNF Canada, a charitable branch of the JNF/KKL in Israel, funds projects in occupied Palestine, including 'Canada Park', which is situated over the ruins and lands of three depopulated and demolished Palestinian villages: Imwas, Yalu and Beit Nuba. This makes the JNF complicit in grave violations of international law, including war crimes under the fourth Geneva Convention. 

While the JNF/KKL markets itself an an environmental organization, its purpose has always been to acquire Palestinian land to be held exclusively for Jews around the world, and covers the sites of depopulated and demolished Palestinian villages with forests and parks. JNF/KKL is a large landowner in Israel, owning 13% of the land, and having a large influence over 93% of all state lands, which are nationalized for the Jewish people. Israel's Attorney General, the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and the U.S. State Department have found that JNF/KKL systematically discriminates against Palestinian citizens of Israel, who amount to 20% of the population. 

Independent Jewish Voices - Canada is calling on Nikki to join us in supporting human rights and social justice in Israel and Palestine by cancelling her gigs for JNF Canada. We urge all people of conscience to join us in this campaign in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for equal rights and self-determination.
