Why this petition matters

Started by Tom Perkins

The Fable Brothers recording of VFL club songs are iconic, nostalgic tradition of modern AFL footy.

Sadly, the AFLs present executive disagree, and have advised all clubs to re-record their anthems. You can listen to an example below:

Although subtle, the new anthems sound rubbish. They sound weak and proxy compared to the triumphant tones of the Fable Brothers. More to the point, the enforced change serves no obvious purpose.

If you feel the same passion for preserving the powerful original recordings of club songs, please sign this petition. Whether it’s AFL imposed or club elected, encourahe the clubs use the clearly better original recordings.
