Phoenix, AZ, a city in the bullseye of climate change that has seen record-breaking temps every year, is once again willing to bend over for out-of-state developers who wish to cut down MATURE, BEAUTIFUL SHADE TREES in the heart of downtown Phoenix at Renaissance Square.

We can NOT allow them to do this!

The two companies involved are even more ironically named Oaktree Capital Management, LLC and Cyprus Office Properties. Their goal is to cut down these trees to replace them with date palms - an absolutely ridiculous idea.

Until City management and elected officials are willing to walk their talk with regard to shade and sustainability, it is our duty to hold them accountable. 

Thanks to Jim McPherson and Sean Sweat for bringing this to my attention. According to sources, the trees are scheduled to be cut down THIS Saturday (November 11) so we must act fast! Stay tuned for further updates on the Rogue Green Facebook page and please share this petition with your networks!
