Derbyshire Dales District Council intend to permanently close the public toilet block next to the Grand Pavilion in Matlock Bath as part of a money-saving exercise. 

This would cause problems for visitors as the nearest toilets are half-a-mile away and would also be detrimental to local businesses by reducing the number of people visiting the south end of the village. 

We hope that Derbyshire Dales District Council will realise how strongly people feel about this and will be able to reach a compromise.
