Tabhair dúinn ár scoil! Give us our School!

After 23 years waiting, the new building for Coláiste Ráithín secondary school was due to open in September 2017 on the site of the Old Bray Golf Club. As the months went by, the opening date was postponed again and again. Now that Carillion has collapsed, the school which is ready to walk into, remains unopened and we fear we are facing further protracted delays until the complex legal and financial issues are resolved. 

The situation for students and teachers in the current building is rapidly becoming untenable.  An entire extra class of First Year Students were enrolled in September, which has led to overcrowding in a building which is already dilapidated. Three new subjects and two new teachers started in September last but they have no facilities to teach these subjects - PE, Home Economics and Technology.

We are calling on your support to sign this petition which we will forward to the Richard Bruton TD, Minister for Education.
