In the UK, we waste millions of tonnes of plastic every year. We could make a difference to that number by furnishing the Central Winchester Regeneration area (Silver Hill) with public drinking fountains. Drinking fountains could cut down plastic waste by encouraging the public to refill their bottles, instead of throwing them away. It would also save money for the average person by providing free drinking water as an alternative to buying bottles of drinks while out and about. Please sign this petition to let the Winchester City Council know that we care about our city’s plastic waste, and to encourage them to include drinking fountains in their plans for Winchester’s development.
