Why this petition matters

Marion Kelly, one of 21 patients, who up  until recently were taking part in a clinical trial for Reprezza explains that one of the remarkable effects of this particular drug is that it appears to be slowing down the progression of her disease. "My breathing has remained steady, and that's amazing, because before the trial, it was going downhill fast. I believe that if I hadn't had access to this drug, I'd have died a relatively young woman."

The HSE have refused to license the life enhancing drug Reprezza due to "the drug was not sufficiently effective to warrant the expense."

"When I say Im terrified, I actually am.11 years ago i went on clinical trials for the drug Respreeza and it turned my life around and i felt so well. Our government and the HSE have now decided to take that away from us as the say its not cost effective which it is and that it doesn't work when it does. And ye thought it was bad when they wanted us to pay for water now they are taking away MY Air. I have a new little grandaughter and I really would like to be around for a while to see her grow but if this continues that will not happen, now can ye see why Im terrified?"  explains Marion.

The Minister for Health and the HSE need to approve Resprezza for everyone. A family member of one of the affected patients asks this of Minister Simon Harris "if it was you or your family member that was terrified gasping for air and you had a way to help them would you??? I have looked into the eyes of a loved one fighting for air and have seen the sheer panic in her eyes believe me if you could help in any way you would... This is the help they need!!"

PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION AND MAKE THEM SEE THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS DRUG TO SO MANY LIVES
