Why this petition matters

Hello Prime Minister of Libya and Prime Minister of Canada,

I'm a concerned Canadian citizen for the current conditions of migrants to Libya . People are currently being sold as slaves. Slavery was supposed to be abolished years ago, so why are we seeing this today happening in Libya?

CNN has done some investigative reporting and I'd like to know how the government is responding to this atrocity.

CNN live footage of slave auction

There have been protests in Paris, Sweden, London and we had one here in Toronto, Canada on December 2nd, 2017.  We want an immediate end to slavery this is a human rights crisis.  We will continue to organize as a community until you act to put an end to this once and for all.  Stop Slavery in Libya Now, we demand repatriation of all migrants currently being held captive!

Stop the slave auctioning of migrants in Libya!

Stop Human trafficking around the world!

Kind Regards,

Shana McCalla
