November 2016 saw the completion of the fantastic Katherine Street Reserve.  The reserve was unique and ground breaking in its design which encouraged sensory experiences in children including three built-in trampolines that appealed to kids.  In addition, it provided a stronger sense of community for local residents who are encouraged by the laughter and joy this unique space provided and the overall aesthetic of the park was subtle and appealing.  In September 2017, some residents of Fullarton were notified by email that these trampolines were to be removed because they produced an unacceptable noise volume for a residential area. The council indicated further consultation about relocation or reinstatement of these trampolines.  This consultation has not occurred.  As residents near the reserve and as Friends of the Katherine St Reserve we believe the trampolines can be reinstated to a different section of the reserve.  At the very least, should they not be able to be reinstated, bring the fun back by providing play equipment that is engaging and dynamic and will appeal to kids sensory experience consistent with the reserves original design.  Join us, in petitioning the City of Unley to bring back the fun - the trampolines!
