Today, around 20 school children (probably more) died in a rail - bus collision at an unmanned railway crossing in Medak district of the newly formed state of Telangana. This is not the first time that there has been loss of live and property at unmanned railway crossings in our country and every time this happens, some statutory compensation is given to the victims and life goes on without actually addressing the problem. Time to ACT is NOW. Eliminate all unmanned railway crossings in india.
Request as many people as possible to sign and propogate this petition so that it reaches the railways minister and action is taken immediately on this issue.
