Why this petition matters
1 Constructing an exhibit in an area with little infrastructure, could degrade the viewshed from wilderness/backcountry.
2. Placement of structures could affect the natural scenic vistas along Highway 385.
3 .Placement and orientation of solar panels, antenna, and roofs could affect the viewshed (Scenic Values)
4. Addition of structures and pavement to the site could affect existing drainage patters. Ground disturbance from the proposed project could increase sediment erosion into nearby Tornillo Creek.
5. Construction could interfere with existing drainage patterns or create small, new drainages. Construction and runoff from pavement and/or rooftops could disturb soils.
6. The proposed structure us very futuristic and does not match any other developments in the park and is totally out of place in that location.
7. The proposed location is very susceptible to vandalism.
