Please accept this signature as the voice of every one to pray for peace in the world.   

The Japanese Constitution is a pacifist constitution that stipulates renunciation of war in its preamble and notably Article 9. Article 9　in particular  stipulates renunciation of war and not maintaining military force. We think that it is the irreplaceable precious treasure, the point where the cognition of humankind has arrived, and the heritage that should be handed down to posterity, which was born as a result of the misery of the wars and the immeasurable sacrifice.

 With repentance for and pain of the past war, as well as wish for happiness and peace of people around the world, we have continued maintaining Article 9 for nearly 70 years. We think that Article 9 has helped to build peace and security, not only in Japan, but also in the world where wars have been repeated.

 However, today, the Japanese Constitution is under threat of revision from pacifism to militarism.  

Since the Nobel Peace Prize is intended to be awarded to an organization or person, the Constitution is not eligible. 

 Therefore, could you support the Japanese people who have continued maintaining Article 9 stipulating thorough renunciation of war, in order to let us win the Nobel Peace Prize, substantiate and diffuse Article 9, and contribute to world peace?

日本国憲法は前文からはじまり　特に第9条により　徹底した戦争の放棄を定めた国際平和主義の憲法です。特に、戦争の放棄、武力の不保持を定めた憲法9条は、戦争の惨禍の果て、測り知れない犠牲の上に生み出された、何物にも代えがたい尊い宝、人類の認識の到達点、後世に残すべき遺産であると考えます。

私たちは過去の戦争への反省と痛みを胸に、世界中の人々の幸せと平和を願い、憲法9条を70年近く保持してきました。憲法9条の保持は日本国内のみならず、戦争の絶えない世界の中で、平和と安定を築くために役立ってきたと考えます。

 しかし、今、この日本国憲法が平和主義から軍国主義へと改憲の危機にさらされています。 

ノーベル平和賞は人か団体に贈られるもので、憲法は対象ではありません。 

ならば、戦争を放棄している憲法9条を保持する日本国民がノーベル平和賞を受賞し、今後さらに、憲法9条を活かし、広め、世界の平和に貢献していけるよう、支援してください。
