The Earthquake Disability Leadership Group in Christchurch has launched this petition to urge the Government to make accessibility a best practice goal – not simply a minimum compliance issue.
The building code needs to change to ensure universal access - for disabled persons, for the elderly, for parents with prams, and for all their friends and family.
We have the opportunity to make Christchurch the most accessible city in the world, and ask you to sign this petition to show the government you'd like to see that happen.
